The things we eat, drink and do affect our health. Changing some of these habits can help you on the road to a healthier life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Healthy living is about making changes to your life that will contribute in making you happier and healthier. In order to start seeing results you do not have to turn your life up side down and become a health fanatic or gym addict (though taking care in what you eat and attending a gym would obviously help). In fact I would recommend making small changes, changes that you feel you can stick too. It is easier to make a few small changes to your life than it is to make drastic changes. In my &lt;a href="http://www.squidoo.com/Your-Guide-To-Healthy-Living"&gt;Guide To Healthy Living&lt;/a&gt; I have laid out a few Do's and Don'ts that I personally use and have recommended to friends, family and readers of my weight loss articles. These steps have had a positive affect on many people and are easy to implement.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;On their own one of the suggestions will not make a huge difference but combine all the suggestions together and you have a base from which to start making a positive impact on your life.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;There are 14 suggestions altogether, below is an outline of one.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;b&gt;Eat regularly&lt;/b&gt;&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;You should try to eat regular small meals throughout the day instead of starving yourself all day and then having a huge meal a few hours before bed. Re-fuelling when you are hungry is a good idea but you should watch what you eat. If you need to snack then you should aim for fruit, vegetable sticks and low fat dips, scones (watch the butter), sandwiches (whole meal bread is good), rice cakes, smoothies and low fat/diet yogurt.&lt;br /&gt;&lt;br /&gt;Eating more regularly will help keep your energy levels up throughout the day and your metabolic rate up. With only 2 or 3 hours between meals you won't get that feeling of being too hungry so you're less likely to splurge during your next meal.
